Hurricane IKE - TSL Called to Help

In the wake of Hurricane Ike's expected storm surge hitting Texas' Gulf Coast by Friday, September 12, hundreds of thousands are evacuating Houston through Corpus Christi. Hurricane winds have stretched up to 115 miles in all directions and authorities expect them to increase.

Tech Safety Lines', Brent Wise was deployed to assist in Hurricane Ike's rescue efforts this week. Brent serves on the Urban Search and Rescue team for Homeland Security. Along with Brent are all of TSL's rescue training instructors to assist in the rescue efforts.

The American Wind Energy Association (AWEA) will hold a Wind Power Health & Safety Workshop this fall, October 29-30 in Denver, Colorado. Among the topics to be covered are: wind power industry safety techniques, uniform safety and equipment guidelines, developing regulations, and safety training guidelines.

Tech Safety Lines Co-Founder, Brent Wise, a 20-year veteran of the Dallas Fire Department will be a keynote speaker on utilizing proper equipment, safety and rescue training.

Rescue training is the backbone of our company. Our rescue programs are hands on and designed to meet the scheduling and needs of our clients. Rather than offer a fixed calendar of training dates , TSL can provide rescue training on demand and on-site. In all of our training programs, a variety of field applications and real-world scenarios is included to reinforce the proper use of safety equipment and system components employed in Fall Protection and Safety. Attendees are immediately capable of applying newly learning safety knowledge and safety skills in a real-world environment.
